Trento History

Suzuki & Subaru Trento Motors was founded by Renzo Moser, the dealer principal, back in 1959 on Lansdowne in the west end of Toronto. In approximately 1973 we moved to our present location at 5395 Steeles Avenue West with later expansion in 1987 on the adjacent lot at 1159 Turbine Drive more than doubling our accommodations. The company is named after the town of Trento, our founder's birth place, nestled in the alpine region of northern Italy. Our first venture into manufacturer representation was with OM trucks of Italy. This was soon followed by FIAT, INNOCENTI, LANCIA, ALFA ROMEO and LADA all of which still command a loyal customer service following. In 1980 Trento Motors was proud to become Canada?s first SUZUKI dealer followed in 1981 by the award of the SUBARU franchise. The display in our SUZUKI showroom is accented with one of the first SUZUKI Samurai vehicles we ever sold. Having being traded in, it was restored (in our own facilities) to its former glory after a long working life. With many years of selling and servicing SUBARU we were proud to be selected as an Authorized SVX Dealer which requires us to be at the highest level of both sales and service proficiency. In 2000 we became one of the first Kia dealerships to open in Canada. But as much as things change, they stay the same; Trento Motors is, and always has been, committed to providing its customers with exceptional value and extraordinary service.
